New: corporate events on your radar
  • Acquisitions & M&A — when a tracked company agrees to be acquired (or to acquire), it now appears the same day as a catalyst, with the deal value in the title, on the calendar and on both companies’ pages.
  • Stock offerings & trading halts — priced secondary offerings and live trading halts (with reason codes) are captured in real time and surfaced where they matter, so a dilution event or a news-pending halt doesn’t slip by.
  • Analyst moves — upgrades, downgrades and price-target changes show on the company page and can alert your watchlist.
Sharper outcome tracking
  • An approval, CRL or trial result in the news now reconciles the right catalyst even when its stored date was off — the outcome lands on the correct event, dated to the day it happened, instead of leaving a stale “pending”.
  • Competitive context is refreshed from the news, so approved and commercial rivals in an indication are less likely to be missing.
Under the hood
  • A large automated test suite now guards the data pipeline, paywall and notifications on every release — fewer regressions, safer changes.

New: Catalyst Radar
  • A forward board where every upcoming catalyst carries an intel stack — insider buying/selling, congressional trades, dilution risk, institutional flow, short interest and unusual moves — ranked by how many independent signals converge on the same event.
  • Open any card for the full detail inline: the Catalyst Verdict (success odds + expected move), historical comparables, dilution & detected-move readouts, and the AI brief.
  • Every signal is a verifiable fact or a calibrated, self-graded model output. Intel to research — never financial advice.
A cleaner, more honest universe
  • Cannabis / marijuana operators (Canopy, Tilray, Aurora, …) removed from the biotech universe — no longer mixed into the calendar, alerts or radar, and blocked from being re-added.
  • Estimated catalyst dates now read “(est.)” everywhere — a month-level readout is never shown as a confirmed day.
Quality
  • Richer bug reporting with auto-attached diagnostics, so issues get reproduced and fixed faster.
  • The old Opportunities page now lives inside the Catalyst Radar as the “Run-up Edge” section, with a clearer explanation of what the pre-catalyst run-up is — and isn’t.

More reliable dates
  • Daily ClinicalTrials.gov re-check of every tracked trial — completion-date slips and terminated trials are caught the day the registry changes, with each change recorded in the audit trail.
  • EMA CHMP meeting calendar — the EU decision days (opinions on new marketing authorisations), from the EMA’s official schedule.
  • Conference calendar verified through 2027: ESMO, ASH, SABCS, AHA, AASLD, WCLC, JPM 2027, ASCO 2027 and more — every date checked against the organizing society.
  • Earnings rebuilt on filing-derived dates for all 1,600+ tracked companies (previously top-100 only), with date shifts updating the existing event instead of duplicating it.
A clearer free plan
  • Free now shows the next 7 days of the calendar; Pro keeps the full forward horizon. Locked days are visibly locked (not silently empty), and every page says exactly what each plan includes.
  • New signups can start a 48-hour Pro trial (card required) — cancel anytime before it ends and you are not charged.
Faster & smoother
  • Company and drug pages load faster (shared data fetching), search responds quicker (parallel lookups), and heavy charts load on demand.
  • Refreshed 30-second onboarding tour that ends on the action that matters: adding your first company.

Previously in v0.1.2 · 2026-05-31

New
  • Catalyst Verdict — one synthesized read per catalyst: clinical success odds (LOA), expected move, and the pre-catalyst run-up.
  • Market-Implied Move — what the options market is pricing for a catalyst (for names with listed options).
  • Opportunities, rebuilt — pre-catalyst run-up setups ranked by a transparent conviction score.
  • Compare pages — honest "CatalystAlert vs …" comparisons and a Best biotech catalyst tools roundup.
  • Public prediction track record — split into two honest tracks: Impact (event-day) and Entry-timing (run-up).
Smarter, more honest predictions
  • New ML models: LOA v3, Impact v4, and Entry "run-up conviction" v3, calibrated to the recent market regime.
  • Entry predictions are now graded against the actual pre-catalyst run-up — the correct yardstick.
Trustworthy dates
  • Every catalyst date carries a confidence label — confirmed (official source), estimated, or AI-detected.
  • Source links, "updated" freshness signals, automatic cross-source verification, and de-duplication.
Data & experience
  • Scrubbable, mobile-first stock chart with volume bars.
  • Mobile layout polish across company and drug pages.
  • New logo and icons; calendar de-cluttered and ranked by signal; broader IPO and international coverage.
Trust & transparency
  • Calmer, factual copy — informational only, never financial advice, no gain-promises.
  • Clear data sourcing (FDA, SEC EDGAR, ClinicalTrials.gov) and visible disclaimers.
